IPv4 has been developed in the early 70's, he proved to be robust and widely accepted protocol, following the great growth of the IPv4 Internet is no longer viable. IPv6 replaces IPv4 started as a web standard. IPv6 is called Internet Protocol Next Generation (IPng) IP Next Generation. IPng is not just an upgrade of IPv4, it is thoroughly revised protocol. Many peculiarities are similar and the main methods of IPv4 are the same. IP addresses are different, however, and headers are lighter and specialized. IPv6 offers more options, including greater flow control and greater security. Since the beginning of 1998 has created a test network for IPv6 Internet. The network is called 6BONE and has evolved to more than 400 online and connected networks in over 40 countries. Based on 6BONE network is expected to proceed transition to IPv6. Process of transition to the new protocol is expected to take 10 years. Once introduced IPv6 is expected to be the standard for decades to come.

Design engineers are so focused on podobrenieta addressing, efficiency and enhanced security. New protocol provides many more IP addresses than IPv4, these new IP addresses will be shown a new way of recording shestnadesettichen species.

The origins of TCP / IP and Internet
What is TCP / IP?
TCP / IP is missing or exploited child of protocols (rules or standards governing communication), which makes communication between computers possible. Network administrators can choose between mnogozhestvo protocols but TCP / IP is the most widely used. The reason is that this is the Internet Protocol - the global network. If you want your computer to communicate on the Internet, you must use TCP / IP.
When multiple protocols work together to form a group called protocol suite (set protocol) or protocol stack (protocol stack). TCP / IP is an example of takap package it describes multiple protocols working together. Implementation of TCP / IP is characterized as protocol stack (protocol stack). Both terms are used interchangeably.
Another reason for the popularity of TCP / IP is its compatibility with almost any computer on earth. TCP / IP stack is supported by current versions of all major operating systems and network operating systems - including; Windows (95/98, ME, 2000, XP, 2003, Vista, 2008), Linux and Unix. TCP / IP is not owned by a company and developed and supported by many and various software and hardware manufacturers.
